The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) is launching a “GO Recycling Campaign” from 1 June 2024. Through a new round of promotional activities and extra GREEN$ rewards, it encourages members of the public to cultivate the habits of source separation and recycling and to integrate the habits into their daily lives. The GO Recycling Campaign is also one of the celebration events for the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
Members of the GREEN$ Electronic Participation Incentive Scheme (GREEN$ members) who recycle at the community recycling network, GREEN@COMMUNITY, or participate in food waste recycling using Smart Food Waste Recycling Bins, can gain additional GREEN$ points from 1 June to 31 July 2024. The promotion details are as follows:
- During the promotion period, GREEN$ members recycle at Recycling Stations, Recycling Stores, Recycling Spots or Smart Recycling Bins can get 6X GREEN$ for recycling designated types of recyclables, including waste paper, metals, plastics, glass bottles, regulated electrical equipment, small electrical appliances, fluorescent lamps and tubes, rechargeable batteries and beverage cartons. - During the promotion period, GREEN$ members who recycle food waste using Smart Food Waste Recycling Bins can get an extra 10 GREEN$ daily, in addition to the basic 50 GREEN$, earning a total of 60 GREEN$.

In addition, to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, limited edition gifts featuring Big Waster would be available for redemption from 1 to 31 July 2024.
GREEN$ also launch a special promotion with Carbon Wallet. From 1 July to 31 July 2024, GREEN$ mobile app users can convert GREEN$ Points to CW Points with 30% off discount during the promotion period. GREEN$ users can redeem a variety of rewards on Carbon Wallet platform, including free MTR rides and green products. Carbon Wallet also offers limited discount for redeeming free MTR rides on their platform that CW Points required is decreased from 4,500 CW Points to 3,000 CW Points*. During the promotion period of “GO Recycling Campaign”, only 2,100 GREE$ Points is required for redeeming free MTR rides on Carbon Wallet platform.
