To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) is launching the "EXTRA GREEN$ Rewards" promotion. Members of the GREEN$ Electronic Participation Incentive Scheme (GREEN$ members) who recycle at the community recycling network, GREEN@COMMUNITY, or participate in food waste recycling using Smart Food Waste Bins can get extra GREEN$ from 1 October to 6 October 2024. The promotion details are as follows.
- During the promotion period, GREEN$ members who recycle at any Recycling Stations, Recycling Stores, Recycling Spots or Smart Recycling Bins can earn 7.5X normal GREEN$ for designated types of recyclables, including waste paper, metals, plastics, glass bottles, regulated electrical equipment, small electrical appliances, fluorescent lamps and tubes, rechargeable batteries and beverage cartons, by weight. - During the promotion period, GREEN$ members who recycle using Smart Food Waste Bins can get an extra 10 GREEN$ daily, in addition to the basic 50 GREEN$, earning a total of 60 GREEN$.
